G20 driver, absolutly a game changer

It's been nearly two years since Ping unveiled its last G series driver, the G15, so as insiders know, it's just about time for the next version to land. Well, the Ping G20 Driver already has landed. It is is designed for all ability levels. External weighting helps launch the forgiving G20 driver with a high, low spinning ball flight for maximum distance and accuracy. Let us have a deeper look at it. The size and shape of the longer head look much better than the G15 and the sound and feel at impact were excellent and the ball took off on a slightly higher but more penetrating trajectory than the G15. The ping g20 also comes with Ping's own TFC 169D shaft that seems a little more stable than in the past thanks to the higher kick point and feels quite powerful. There is also a Tour version of the shaft that will give you a lower trajectory and this will be excellent for those with higher swing speeds, so make sure you get custom fitted as the combination of shaft and loft will be important.

For myself, I bought an XCG4 driver at the beginning of the year to replace my Ping Rapture, but just could not get comfortable with it. Traded it in and got the new g20 driver 10.5 degree, R flex. It may have a fairly dull styling, but the performance of the ping drivers g20 is incredible. I've played four rounds with it so far, and my distance is getting progressively longer with each round as I get a better feel for it. Penetrating ball flight and as a bonus I can a play a fade or a draw with it, which I couldn't do with the Rapture or the XCG4. g20 driver seems to be extremely forgiving on ball striking as I've consistently found the fairway or the first cut of rough at worst since switching. Simply a phenomenal driver and change my golf a lot.
